New Form Component & New Report - Patient Vehicle
What’s New: A new form component is available in Sunwave that records any vehicles a patient may have during care.
Why It Matters: The Patient Vehicle component enables inpatient or residential facilities who have patient vehicles on campus for an extended duration to directly associate the ownership of a vehicle to a patient.
Who It’s For: Inpatient and Residential Facilities, compliance staff, therapists, BHT’s and others who may be involved in tracking searching, or securing patient vehicles.
How to Use It: The Patient Vehicle form component may be added to any form by navigating through Form Builder → Select Form → Add Action → Add Patient Vehicles.
Once present in Form Builder, navigate to a patients chart and add the form that contains the Patient Vehicle component.
Use “Add Vehicle” and record any information desired.
The Patient Vehicle Report is located in Reports → Patient Vehicle
RCM Enhancement
Enhanced Denial Management Table Usability and Features
What’s New: The Denial Management table has been upgraded with improved usability and functionality. Key updates include:
Navigation Updates: Renamed from "Manage Denials" to "Denial Management."
Column Enhancements:
Added new columns: "Date of Submission," "Denial Reason," "Claim Balance," "NET Claim Balance," "MRI" (hyperlinked), and "Comments" (with history pop-up).
Renamed and reformatted columns for clarity (e.g., "Claim #" to "Claim Line ID" with hyperlinks, "Patient Names" as "Last Name, First Name," and "Procedure/Rev.code" to "Procedure/Rev Code").
Removed unnecessary columns: "Patient Payment," "Paid to Patient," and "Outstanding Paid to Patient."
Dates are now formatted as MM/DD/YY.
Filter and Sorting Improvements: Added filters for "Status" and "Denial Reason." All columns are sortable, with data properly aligned.
Usability Enhancements:
Persistent filters per user.
Hide/show columns and freeze headers for better organization.
Fixed "New Comment" button and added dropdown options for the "Status" field.
Replaced "PR" with blank values in the Manage EOBs allocation table.
Why It Matters:
Efficient denial management is critical to streamlining claim resolution and improving cash flow. These enhancements simplify workflows, improve navigation, and save time for billing teams by providing a more organized and intuitive interface.
Who It’s For:
Billing users and denial management teams who handle claim follow-ups, corrections, and denial tracking.
How to Use It:
Navigate to the updated "Denial Management" section in the left menu.
