RCM Enhancements

Enhanced Tracking & Filtering by Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Insurance

What’s New: We’ve added features to streamline claim tracking and collections management across Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary insurance types. Key updates include:

Claims Management Enhancements:

• New collection statuses: "At Primary," "At Secondary," and "At Tertiary."

• Automatic status updates when claims move to Secondary or Tertiary insurance.

• Visual indicators (S/T) for Secondary and Tertiary insurances in Claims Submission tables and Payment Allocation Lines.

• Claims Export CSV now includes new statuses and accurate insurance provider names.

• Ad-hoc and dynamic reports updated to display new submission statuses and secondary/tertiary insurance providers.

Aging Report Updates:

• New filters: "At Primary," "At Secondary," "At Tertiary," and "At Insurance" (includes all positions).

• Default filter set to "At All Insurance Positions."

Collector’s Desk Enhancements:

• Collection Status filter added to the Collections Report with options for "At Primary," "At Secondary," "At Tertiary," and "At Insurance" (includes all positions).

• Default filter set to "At All Insurance Positions."

• Sidebar renamed to "Collector’s Report" for clarity.

Why It Matters: These enhancements offer better visibility and organization for claims and collections across all insurance positions. By reducing errors, improving efficiency, and simplifying tracking, billers and collectors can manage claims more effectively and accurately.

Who It’s For: Billers, collectors, and revenue cycle management teams managing claims and collections for Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary insurances.

How to Use It:

Claims Management:

• Use the Claims Submission table to view claims with visual indicators (S/T) for Secondary and Tertiary insurance.

• Edit and submit a claim to Secondary or Tertiary insurance to see the status update automatically.

• Run Ad-hoc or dynamic reports to see updated Insurance Provider details for Secondary and Tertiary insurance.

Aging Report:

• Apply the new filters to view aging data by insurance position.

• Drill down into cells for detailed claim submission data.

Collector’s Desk:

• Use the "Collection Status" filter in the Collections Report to manage collections by insurance type.

Important Notes

• Historical Data: Primary payer details remain unchanged in the Claims Submission table, even if the last submission was to Secondary or Tertiary.

• The previous "At Insurance" status is now labeled "At Primary" for consistency.

RCM Enterprise Enhancements

Improved Separation of Interest Transactions from Ending Balances

What’s New: We’ve updated how interest transactions are displayed and calculated in Financials to provide more accurate Ending Balances and clear visibility into interest payments. Interest payments are now excluded from the "Ending Balance" calculation and displayed separately, ensuring balances tied to claims are clear and accurate.

Why It Matters: These updates allow financial users to better distinguish between receivable balances and non-receivable interest payments. This improves accuracy in reporting and simplifies reconciliation by providing a clear breakdown of interest.

Who It’s For: RCM Enterprise Users responsible for managing and reconciling claims and balances.

How to Use It:

• In the UI: View claim-based balances in the "Ending Balance" line and review the separate "Total Interest this period" line for interest payments.

• In the CSV Export: Export reports to see a distinct row for "Total Interest this period" below the Ending Balance for detailed reporting.
