Methadone Pump Installation & Configuration

Supported Methadone Pumps

• Sunwave EMR supports the the SciLog LabTec Automated Methadone Dispensing series #200-Meth-System on Windows and Apple devices.

• For calibration and cleaning instructions please reference the SciLog documentation HERE.

Configuration

1. Ensure the SciLog Methadone Pump is plugged in

2. Verify the USB-B to USB-A cable is connected to the pump via USB-B and that the USB-A cable is connected to a USB port of the laptop or computer to be used for dispensing.

3. Turn the pump on

   1. see yellow highlight for power button

      1. Open

         

4. View the pump and ensure mode is set to Serial. This is the default value

   1. If needed, press exit in order to select modes and use the A + B buttons to navigate to static and press C to select. Consult the device manual for specific instructions.

5. Log into Sunwave

6. Using the left navigation menu, select Inventory → Inventory and Check-In to the Inventory from which medication will be provided

7. Using the left navigation menu, select Inventory → Dosing Queue → View Checked- In Patients

   1. Open

      

8. Identify the patient to provide medication for and press the medication name in the “Scheduled” column to open the dosing window.

9. In the dosing queue select the appropriate dosing event referencing the Date and Time and press “Dispense”

The first time a device is connected to a computer, confirm the desired device of SciLog Dispenser in the windows systems pop up. Press “Connect” to continue dosing

10. Press “Dispense” and confirm.

11. Record the medication action as appropriate
