Overview

Nuance Dragon is a speech recognition, dictation and transcription service that works by utilizing a microphone linked to a PC, Laptop or Tablet device. It can be purchased for Windows and mobile devices, but does not work on a Macbook OS system. If an enduser has a current license, two chrome browser extensions can be added from the chrome web store depending on the version purchased and it will function in text areas within SunWaves forms.

 

Dragon (DMO, DMD, DPA, DLA) Web Extension requires one of the following products:

  • Dragon Medical One (DMO)

  • Dragon Medical Direct (DMD)

  • Dragon Professional Anywhere (DPA)

  • Dragon Legal Anywhere (DLA)

  • Dragon Case and Care (DCNC)

 

Dragon Web Extension for Chrome:

  • For Dragon 13 or later

 

Configuring Dragon Integration

  1. Make sure Nuance Dragon has been installed properly on the device that will be using the dictation functionality.

     

  2. Open Chrome. Navigate to chrome extensions.

  3. Search for Nuance Dragon extensions by searching for “dragon” in the search box.

     

  4. Install the appropriate extension based on the documentation listed above.

     

  5. Acknowledge to add the web extension.

     

  6. Dragon has been add to your chrome browser. To use dragon easily, it is recommended to Pin the dragon web extension to your navigation bar.
