OAuth2 for Outlook: Global Administrator
If you are seeing this when attempting to integrate your Sunwave account with your Microsoft Outlook account, you need the “Global Administrator” (role in Microsoft) to approve Sunwave Health as an application in your Microsoft environment.
How to find the Global Administrator
Go to Admin Center -> Users -> Active Users https://admin.microsoft.com/AdminPortal/Home#/users
On the top right hand corner click on the filter icon then select “Global Admins”. This will filter users that are Global Admins on Office 365.
Once you’ve verified your Global Administrator
Two options:
The Global Administrator needs to be created in Sunwave as a user
The Global Administrator can temporarily assign another user as a Global Administrator, remove the Global Administrator role once integrated with Sunwave
Integrating your Outlook accounts with Sunwave
Log into Sunwave and access your User Profile
In the “Edit User Profile” splash screen, locate the “User Email Authentication Setup” box
In the Email Service Authentication dropdown, choose “OAuth2 for Microsoft Outlook”
Click “Log In”
Log into Microsoft with your Microsoft credentials in the pop-up
As a Global Administrator, you need to “Consent on behalf of the organization” in order for others to integrate their Outlook accounts with Sunwave
Once you’ve checked the checkbox and accepted, you should see your email in Sunwave as shown below:
If the Global Administrator account was created temporarily for the purpose of approving the app, you may now delete the account in Sunwave
Have a user that is not Global Administrator (standard Office account user) attempt to integrate their emails with Sunwave following steps 1-5. If their email show in Sunwave as shown in Step 7, the integration is successful and the app is approved.
