Twilio Setup
Twilio requires A2P Registration (business verification) which can take 2-4 weeks from the date of submission. You cannot use the integration or text from Sunwave until A2P has been processed and verified. Further information under Prerequisites.

Prerequisites
Create a Twilio account
Twilio will automatically create a trial account. In order for the integration testing to work, you need a paid account
Add your Sunwave POC as an Administrative user in your Twilio account
Decide which phone number you’d like to use
Twilio will automatically give a toll-free number with the account
If you want to use a Toll-Free number for texting, you’ll need to complete the Toll-Free registration
If you want a local number, you will need to purchase it as shown below:
Complete A2P Registration
It can take 2-4 weeks to process. This cannot be expedited and is not Sunwave’s responsibility. More information/step-by-step

A failed A2P Campaign submission will cost $15 for a resubmission
Assigning Twilio to Sunwave users
In Sunwave, go to Practice Setup → Users → Select a user that will be texting from Sunwave
In their User Permissions → CRM Section
Check the box for “User can Send/Receive SMS”
Input the phone number from Twilio
Testing
In Sunwave, go to CRM → Opportunities → Select a TEST OPPORTUNITY
On the Face Sheet, input a phone number that you will test the texting on
Go to Timeline → Send a Text Message → Click on the number from the dropdown
A pop-up will appear on the window. Send your test message.
5. On the phone you are testing with, respond back and you should receive the text in Sunwave.
Our Twilio integration is ONLY for SMS. We do not accept MMS at this time.
