Custom Reporting with a Parent-Child Realm
Please ensure you have read the prerequisites, which illustrates the permissions required for custom reporting in Sunwave.
How do I know if I have a Parent-Child Realm?
In Sunwave, click on your logo. If you see multiple realms, you have parent-child realms.
If you do not see multiple realms, you do NOT have a parent-child realm. Follow THIS GUIDE instead.

Setting up Custom Fields in List of Values
Custom fields can only be done in the parent realm. This is typically your CRM realm (Realm name ex. Sunwave CRM).
In the parent realm, go to Left Panel → Practice Setup → List of Values
In the Header, change your Module to EMR and Entity to Custom Field
Create a new registry
Name the label you’re wanting to report (ex. Smoker, Legal Status, etc.) and click Create.
Typically, Name and Description is the same. If you want to clarify/explain the Name field, that’s what description is for. Name is only seen in Sunwave, description is not.
Once you’ve created the new Custom Field, you will see it in the list
