Waystar Payer Name Matching

Reason for the rejection message:
Waystar uses a name matching system to assist in matching the payer from your system to Waystar's unique payer ID. It is highly recommended that name matching be completed prior to any claim submissions to avoid Waystar rejections.
Inside your Waystar account, you are able to resolve this name matching issue by following these steps.
Steps to Correct:
Go to Prof Claims or Inst Claims, or Eligibility.
Click the Name Matching tab.
Select the name to be matched in the My UnMatched Payers list.*
Enter the name of the Waystar payer or the Waystar payer ID in the Name Contains field.
Click the Search button.
Select the radio button of the Waystar payer to be matched.
Click the Match to Selected Payer button below the My UnMatched Payers list.
If necessary, repeat steps 3 through 7 to match additional unmatched payers.
Claim will automatically resubmit when name matching is complete.
Once the payer name is matched to a payer id, future claims submitted with the same payer name, will automatically get routed to the payer id selected.
*If a claim has been hidden previously, the payer name will be removed from the UnMatched Payers list. Checking Re-Apply Overrides and re-submitting the claim will cause it to reject for name matching again, if the payer has not already been matched, and will re-populate the payer name on the UnMatched Payers list. The correct payer ID can also be added manually to the claim under the Insurance view by clicking the Change Payer Information button. Adding the payer ID will allow the claim to pass the name matching edit.
Additional Information:
If a Waystar payer is not available to match with one of your payers, you can match with the Waystar payer named Paper. If you choose this option, Waystar will print and submit your claim on paper.
The Waystar Payer ID is unique to Waystar. Use caution when selecting a Waystar payer, as this ID may appear similar to IDs used by other clearinghouses. If you would prefer to not utilize payer name matching and you are an 837 submitter please contact Client Support. This will require that the Waystar unique payer ID be sent on the inbound file.
