Applying a Patient Refund to a Service

This action would be applied to a situation when a patient requires a refund that was applied to a service received.

 Instructions

Under the Billing Tab, open Managed EOBs,

  1. When a payment has been received, and applied to a service as seen below, and a refund is requested, or required, you will begin by creating a new - negative payment in Manage EOBs

  2. Select the payment type, and make sure to enter the - negative -$000.00 amount, then hit the Next: Save & Start to Allocate Claims

    Once in the Remit, select the + option where it says Claims, then select the claim(s) that is being refunded from

  3. Make sure to select the claim that the $$ was previously applied to, & then put a -$000.00 amount

  4. Now that the refund has been made, you can view it in the clients chart

  5.  

Please Note this process is Specific to when the payment has been allocated to a specific date of Service
