RCM Enhancement

UX - Improve Microdeposit Verification Usability

What’s New: We’ve enhanced the microdeposit verification process for patients making ACH payments to a Customer with a Stripe account. This update improves usability by clarifying instructions, renaming field labels, and implementing dynamic auto-formatting for deposit fields. Additionally, a thorough review was conducted to ensure no existing bugs.

Why It Matters: These enhancements make it easier for patients to verify microdeposits, reducing potential confusion and errors during the payment process.

Who It’s For: This update is for any patients using ACH payments via Stripe.

How to Use It:

  • Create and Send an Envelope with a Payment Request

    • Open a patient chart and navigate to 'Patient Engagement > Create Envelope'.

    • For the billing facility, select Billing Facility 1, LLC. This facility has a Stripe Account configured as a payment gateway.

  • Login to the Patient Engagement Portal

    • Copy the envelope link and open it in another browser tab to access the patient portal.

  • Process Your Payment

    • Select Bank Account (ACH) as the payment method.

    • Add a Bank Account Routing and Account Numbers.

  • Verify the Bank Account

    • Select the non-verified account and click the Verify button.

  • Make a Payment

    • Once the account is verified, select the verified account and click the Process Payment button.

  • Review the Payment in Sunwave

    • Open Sunwave to view and confirm the payment details.

Add "Comments" Field to Payment Pop-Up on Calendar

What's New: We’ve added a "Comments" field to the payment pop-up on the calendar for all four payment types: cash, check, credit card, and credit card (external). This allows receptionists to provide additional details when accepting payments.

Why It Matters: Receptionists can now add helpful notes directly when taking payments. These comments will assist billers and posters, ensuring they have all relevant information in Manage EOBs, improving accuracy and communication within the payment process.

Who It’s For: This enhancement is primarily for receptionists, billers, and posters working with patient payments and EOB management.

How to Use It: When taking a payment from the calendar, simply add any relevant details in the "Comments" field. These comments will be visible in the Manage EOBs screen when reviewing payments.

CRM Enhancements

Reporting - Historical Lead and Opportunity Reporting Enhancements

What’s New: Sunwave will now take a snapshot of the the Referral Source Account Owner and Referral Source Contact Owner at the time of lead or opportunity creation to provide historical reporting.

Why It Matters: This enhancement provides historical context when examining opportunity and lead reports. It answers which business development or admissions representative was responsible for the relationship with the referral source and referral source contact at the time the lead or opportunity was created. This ensures that when ownership is reassigned that all historical opportunities and leads are NOT credited to the newly assigned Referral Source Owner or Referral Source Contact Owner.

Who It’s For: This update is for business development managers and anyone interested in historical reporting.

How to Use It: Navigate to the Lead or Opportunity dynamic report, click and drag any of the bellow listed bubbles into the report in order to review who the first credited account and contact owners are of either the lead or opportunity:

Manage Opportunities - Filter Enhancements

What’s New: Sunwave has enhanced the filtering behavior of the Manage Opportunities screen, making it easier to manage, filter and sort your organizations opportunities.

  • From & Until Dates

    • are now inclusive of the date specified when filtering the Creation Date of the opportunity.

    • are now excluded from sticky filter behavior and will not be remembered when navigating away from the page.

  • Clear Filters

    • Removes all remembered filters from page memory and sets all filters back to default.

Why It Matters: This enhancement provides historical context when examining opportunity and lead reports. It answers which business development or admissions representative was responsible for the relationship with the referral source and referral source contact at the time the lead or opportunity was created. This ensures that when ownership is reassigned that all historical opportunities and leads are NOT credited to the newly assigned Referral Source Owner or Referral Source Contact Owner.

Who It’s For: This update is for business development managers and anyone interested in historical reporting.

How to Use It: No new user action is required to utilize these enhancements. Use the From and Until dates to search the desired date range. If needing to clear other filters quickly, press “Clear Filters”.

Opportunity - Clear Scheduled Date & Time if Opportunity Status is set back to Active

What’s New: Sunwave will now remove the previously scheduled date and time from the opportunity if Opportunity status is changed from Scheduled to Active.

Why It Matters: This enhancement will allow users to make more effective use of the filters and sorting located on the Manage Opportunities screen.

Who It’s For: This update admissions reps or anyone who handles patient logistics, traveling or scheduling.

How to Use It: This behavior is automatically triggered when changing Opportunity Status from Scheduled to Active.

EMR Enhancements

Patient Header Enhancements

What’s New: The patient header has been enhanced to display more information. The current Level of Care and current Primary Insurance Provider will now be displayed as part of the header at the top of the screen.

Why It Matters: This enhancement allows users to quickly check the current LoC and Primary Insurance Provider while moving through a patients chart or reviewing forms, preventing them from having to scroll to the top for this information.

Who It’s For: This update is for anyone charting or reviewing records.

How to Use It: No user action is required to use this enhancement. When scrolling, look at the top of the screen to locate the header.
