What’s New
The Advanced Audit Report now includes new configuration options in the report configurator for enabling additional data columns: Current Level of Care (LoC) and Programs. When these options are enabled, the report grid will display the corresponding columns, and they will also be included in the CSV export.
Why It Matters
This enhancement allows organizations to tailor the audit report to their specific oversight and compliance needs by surfacing critical patient context such as their current level of care and associated program.
Who’s It For
Compliance officers, quality assurance teams, and administrators who rely on the Advanced Audit Report for monitoring clinical workflows, documentation timing, and care transitions.
How to Use It

EMR- Allow Range Orders with E-Prescribe 2.0
What’s New
Sunwave and E-Prescribe 2.0 now support Range Orders, allowing providers to enter a dosage range (e.g., 10–35 units, 1–2 tablets, 5–10mL) as part of medication orders.
Why It Matters
This update eliminates ambiguity in dosing, improves patient safety, and supports better clinical decision-making. It also streamlines workflows by reducing the need for manual documentation or justification when dose flexibility is clinically appropriate.

Providers, nurses, and clinical documentation staff involved in ordering, administering, and tracking medications.
How to Use It
Navigate to Orders → Create Order, input a range separated by a - to indicate the desired medication range.
Specify the remaining order data as usual.
During administration, nurses will select the exact dose given within the defined range.
The system records the administered dose.
Additional Notes
Range Orders are supported in both Regular and PRN workflows.
All data is captured in the MAR.
Decimals also supported
Documentation Exports - Control User Signatures & DateTime Stamps
What’s New
New privacy configuration options have been added to form export modals (Export Current Form, Export Folder, and Export Form Package), allowing users to exclude user-identifying signature information from patient-facing documents. Two new checkboxes give staff control over whether signature and/or timestamps appear in exported forms.
Why It Matters
This supports compliance with privacy best practices while preserving full internal audit trails and record integrity.
Who’s It For
Clinical Staff (nurses, therapists, discharge coordinators) who generate and distribute patient-facing forms
Medical Records & Compliance Personnel responsible for exporting and managing discharge and treatment documentation
How to Use It
When initiating an export using Export Current Form, Export Folder, or Export Form Package, users will now see two new options. These options only impact the export output — all signature data remains stored in the system and is visible in audit trails and backend records.
Sunwave Chart View
Export Current Form View
Exclude User Signature & DateTime Stamp -> removes the user’s signature image, name, and timestamp from all user signature blocks in the export.
Exclude DateTime Stamp of Signatures → When checked, displays all signature blocks (User, Patient, Guardian, Surety) without the date/time in the exported document.
User Permission - View Collection Warnings
What’s New
A new user-level permission called “View Collection Warnings” has been introduced. This allows designated staff to view active Collection Warnings without having permission to edit, deactivate, or create them. The feature provides safer, role-based access to financial account status information across the platform.
Why It Matters
Previously, Collection Warnings were only visible to users with Manage Collection Warnings permission, which also granted edit rights. This created a workflow and security gap:
Frontline staff lacked visibility into account collections status
Or were granted elevated permissions, increasing financial risk exposure
This update solves the problem by separating view-only access from edit access, supporting both operational efficiency and data security.
Who’s It For
Front Desk and Admissions Staff: Need visibility into collections to manage appointments and intake workflows
Compliance and Financial Oversight Staff: Need awareness of collections without modifying records
How to Use It
Navigate through Practice Set-Up → Users, scroll down to the billing area and view new permission
Scenario | Result |
|---|---|
User has no collection warning permissions | Collections button/menu is hidden |
User has “View Collection Warnings” only | Can see Collections button/menu and open the modal in read-only mode |
User has “Manage Collection Warnings” | Full create, edit, and delete capabilities |

Patient Signatures Lock Forms
What’s New
A new form-level setting, “Lock on Patient Signature,” has been added to support automatic form locking when only a patient signature is required. When enabled, forms become read-only immediately upon patient signature, even if staff or guardian signatures are still pending.
Why It Matters
This ensures that patient-signed legal documents—such as Consent or Release of Information (ROI) forms—are protected from post-signature edits. It supports legal compliance, improves audit integrity, and aligns with clinical standards for safeguarding signed patient documentation.
Who’s It For
Client-facing staff completing documents with patients
Compliance Officers managing legal documentation, audit readiness, and policy enforcement
How to Use It
In Form Builder, click on the form name to view configuration options.
The option for “Can Be Locked” and “Lock on Patient Signature” are only available if the if the Realm setting “Can Be Locked” is enabled. When “Lock on Patient Signature” is checked on, the form will automatically lock once the patient signs, becoming read only, but supporting further signatures such as user, guardian and surety. No further edits may be made to the form.
If “Lock on Patient Signature” is unchecked, the form will remain editable after patient signature.

Why It Matters
