Only “Global Administrators” can bypass the “needs admin approval” screen

If you are seeing this when attempting to integrate your Sunwave account with your Microsoft Outlook account, you need the “Global Administrator” (role in Microsoft) to approve Sunwave Health as an application in your Microsoft environment.

How to find the Global Administrator

  1. Go to Admin Center -> Users -> Active Users https://admin.microsoft.com/AdminPortal/Home#/users

  2. On the top right hand corner click on the filter icon then select “Global Admins”. This will filter users that are Global Admins on Office 365.

Once you’ve verified your Global Administrator

Two options:

  1. The Global Administrator needs to be created in Sunwave as a user

  2. The Global Administrator can temporarily assign another user as a Global Administrator, remove the Global Administrator role once integrated with Sunwave

Integrating your Outlook accounts with Sunwave

  1. Log into Sunwave and access your User Profile

  7. Once you’ve checked the checkbox and accepted, you should see your email in Sunwave as shown below:

  8. If the Global Administrator account was created temporarily for the purpose of approving the app, you may now delete the account in Sunwave

  9. Have a user that is not Global Administrator (standard Office account user) attempt to integrate their emails with Sunwave following steps 1-5. If their email show in Sunwave as shown in Step 7, the integration is successful and the app is approved.
