ePrescribe - I Forgot My Password / I Lost My Authentication Token

This guide is to provide assistance for the prescribe users who have forgotten their password or loss their authentication token. Please review the following types and their definitions in order to best assist you.

If you have been LOCKED within ePrescribe, you a password reset will not unlock your account. You may be able to change your password but you will still be subject to the lock out time frame (15 minutes minimum up to 24 hours)

Signature Password

Signature Passphrase

One Time Pin (OTP)

Initial User Password

This password is provided upon user creation. Its only purpose is to grant a user access to the ePrescribe: Rcopia platform’s website https://web3.drfirst.com/login . To reset this password the user can click on "Forgot Password” in the portal

Signature Password

This password is used for sending all medication through ePrescribe.  This is the first password prompt you receive when signing for a medication in ePrescribe. This defaults as the Provider’s first name followed by the letters “rx”. An example would be “josephrx”. To reset this password please submit a ticket to support@sunwavehealth.com and indicate you require an ePrescribe Signature Password reset.

Signature Passphrase

Passphrase created during EPCS Registration. This will be used for sending of Controlled Substances Level 1-4 within ePrescribe. This cannot be reset by Sunwave Staff. To reset this password provider will need to visit the EPCS website https://ui.epcsdrfirst.com/pob/login and click “Forgot Password”. They will be required to confirm their identity via email and two-factor authentication. If the provider forgets their Security Question/Answer they will need to reset their EPCS setup.

 

One Time Pin (OTP)

Two-factor authentication code supplied by the Hard Token or Soft Token (App). Typically a six (6) digit code that expires after thirty (30) seconds. If this device is lost, stolen, deleted, and/or no longer accessible then you will need to contact support@sunwavehealth.com and request a new ePrescribe Token.

Access Your EPCS Token Management Page

You have 2 options to access the EPCS Token Management screen where you will associate your tokens to your account:

  • Through EPCS Prescriber Dashboard 

  • Through Rcopia 

Through EPCS Prescriber Dashboard

  1. Go to EPCS Prescriber Dashboard:

Note: The Passphrase is the password you use to electronically prescribe controlled substances (EPCS); you created this passphrase when completing the EPCS enrollment.

 

  1. To finish logging in, enter a one-time-pin (OTP) from a token that is already associated to your account. 

 

 

  1. Select the Tokens tab at the top or click the Manage Tokens button at the bottom right of the page. Both will take you to token management.

 

 

  1. You are now on the Token Management screen.
